He was banned from leaving the country, reports NOVA. The prosecutor’s office has already brought charges against the arrested construction contractor Veliko Zhelev for extortion accompanied by causing minor bodily harm.
Zhelev is accused of having on February 24, 2023 in Sofia, tried to force B. A. to assume a property obligation of BGN 68,000 by signing promissory notes and expense orders. “To the victim blows were inflicted in the area of the face and body”, specified the prosecutor’s office. The businessman was detained for 72 hours, and on Wednesday (08.03) a request for his permanent arrest will be submitted to the Sofia City Court.
“The accurate establishment of all the facts of the case, the disclosure of the objective truth and the observance of the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria will be ensured. The public will be notified of the results in a timely manner,” said the press center of the SGP, writes dariknews.bg.
