THE NasDem Party supports the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep as a gubernatorial candidate (cagub) in the 2024 Central Java (Jateng) Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub). The General Chairperson of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh sees Kaesang’s power map in Central Java.
“Mr. Surya only appealed to Mas Kaesang, the better potential is looking at the map of Mas Kaesang’s electability strength in Central Java,” said the Head of the NasDem Winning Territory in the Papua Region, Roberth Rouw, at the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 22, 2024.
In addition, NasDem views Kaesang as a young figure who dares to be involved in politics. These two things are strong considerations for NasDem to support Kaesang in Central Java.
“Because he is very respectful, with Mas Kaesang’s courage to enter politics as a young person,” said Roberth.
The chairman of the NasDem faction in the DPR emphasized that there were no plans to pair Kaesang with Anies in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. NasDem also did not interfere in the matter of Kaesang’s pairing in the Central Java gubernatorial election.
