In Senegal, the signal of the private television channel Walf TV was restored last night, Friday. It had been cut for seven days, by decision of the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council. The CNRA criticized the media for “irresponsible coverage” of the February 10 demonstrations in the town of Mbacké. During a banned meeting of the opposition Pastef party of Ousmane Sonko, clashes broke out. An “unfair” measure according to the Walf Fadjri press group, which yesterday organized a rally in front of its headquarters in Dakar. Moustapha Diop, general manager of Walf FM and Walf TV, is on the microphone of our correspondent, Charlotte Idrac.
