Suzuki Jimny Black Bison – little Jimny can look so bad

The Suzuki Jimny was always the opposite of a show-off SUV: a little wagon with little horsepower – but on forest trails and off-road the mini off-roader could put every super SUV in its pocket.

The previous generation of the Jimny looked pretty old-fashioned, however. A car that only hunters and forest workers could really enjoy. The design of the new model is reminiscent of the legendary G-Class. Only that it is significantly smaller. In any case, the new design is very well received. The annual quota of new Jimnys was already sold out in several European countries in January. The small terrain passer has established itself as a lifestyle product.

Monster version of the Suzuki Jimny

It didn’t take long for the Suzuki to be upgraded. The Japanese tuner Wald has now introduced a monster version of the tiny one: the Wald Sports Line Black Bison Edition. The “Black Bison” series from Wald is known for turning cars into terrifying, matt black monsters. For example the BMW 7 Series. With the mini car from Suzuki, the tuners are breaking new ground.

The result is more than impressive. As expected, the car was extensively expanded below. Huge tires on black rims in widened fenders give the Black Bison a powerful stance. The new grille stretches up dominantly, suddenly there are huge air intakes on the hood. Whatever the reason, the small engine certainly doesn’t need the additional fresh air. The front bumper was also inflated like a rubber boat lip.

The headlights are full-LED, a “Roof LED Basement” with other headlights was mounted on the roof. Two wings are mounted on it. Unfortunately, the spare wheel on the rear door was removed. The new tires are probably just too huge for this assembly.

The Suzuki Jimny has little power

The concept is a bit strange for the European taste, because forest does not seem to have touched the drive train. Only the exhaust has been optically upgraded. So the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine remains, which is a rather weak engine.

The Jimny in Wald Sports Line Black Bison Edition was not rendered on the computer. The model was presented in sheet metal and rubber at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The Suzuki is said to be “soon” in Europe, but Wald is still silent about prices.

The normal Suzuki Jimny costs between 18,000 and 20,000 euros. Given Wald’s list of ingredients, the price should certainly double. But then you can look forward to the car with the most aggressive look and the smallest engine.
