SVALT updates Cooling Docks for MacBooks and launches model with fan

Although using a MacBook in clamshell (with the lid closed and connected to an external monitor) means that you will not (literally) feel any change in temperature on the computer, some heavier tasks can end up overheating and even harming the machine’s performance.

Some companies propose solutions to solve this problem, as is the case of COOL, which updated its line of Cooling Docks for Apple notebooks with three new models. Designed to provide seamless compatibility with MacBooks released in recent years, they work with older models as well—including those with Intel processors, which arguably need more of an accessory like this.

The most basic model among the three new releases is the Cooling Dock DHCwhich is reaching its 3rd generation and has a heatsink com 6 cooling fins and 5 air channels, which provide 464.5 square centimeters of surface area for cooling.

Also in its 3rd generation, the Cooling Dock DHCR remains the most powerful model, with its 12 cooling fins and its 11 air channels that provide 884cm² of surface area.

The previous two models only support the passive cooling system, unlike the Cooling Dock DHCx, a completely new release for the line. In addition to your 5 cooling fins and of its 4 air channels, it also has a built-in fan, which is able to further increase its cooling capacity.

Speaking of values, the Cooling Dock DHC is on sale for US$219; o Cooling Dock DHCR, por US$279; and the Cooling Dock DHCx, by US$269 — all available directly on the SVALT website.
