Jalil has sent a letter to the UAE government demanding a ban on Madhyamam News Paper in the Gulf region.
Jalil’s complaint in the letter was that the news in the media was insulting to the UAE rulers.
Swapna says in the affidavit that KT Jalil had several meetings with the UAE Consul General in Thiruvananthapuram in a closed room and the central government was not aware of this.
Jaleel’s attempt was to make more deals through diplomatic channels using his connections. Swapna’s affidavit states that the Consul General had told her that the ruling party would support the deal through diplomatic channels.
Swapna also alleged that Jalil had told the Consul General that he would have support including that of the Chief Minister.

In the affidavit given in the High Court, Swapna Suresh clarified that it is against the law for a minister of the state to send a letter directly to the head of another nation. Sapna’s letter was sent without the knowledge of the Ministry of External Affairs. Swapna has produced the draft of the letter and the WhatsApp chats referring to it in the High Court today.
Through this, Jalil tried to establish closeness with the UAE authorities. Swapna says that Jalil has sought help from the Consul General. Swapna’s affidavit also states that Jalil said that if the Madhyamik newspaper is banned in the Gulfa region, it will benefit him in the government and the CPM. Swapna also reveals that she helped Jaleel deliver the letter to the Consul General.
Sapna also alleges in the affidavit that his phone, which was seized by the NIA, is no longer in the custody records. This phone contained information and messages related to the Chief Minister’s dealings. According to Swapna Suresh’s affidavit, Sivashankar had already told him not to fear NIA investigation and Sivashankar had told him that NIA was full of Kerala cadre officers.
In the affidavit, Swapna Suresh has alleged that the state government is trying to sabotage the investigation in the gold smuggling case and entangle him.
Yesterday, Swapna Suresh had told the media that he will present the evidence in the court today that will clarify the role of KT Jalil in the anti-national activity. Swapna Suresh had claimed that after examining these evidences, it will become clear to the court who has committed anti-national activities and what they have done.
The disclosure comes after the petition filed against him seeking cancellation of the conspiracy case registered against him. Swapna raised strong allegations against KT Jaleel in the High Court. Following the revelations against the Chief Minister and the government, the state government took up a conspiracy case against Sapna. The High Court will consider Swapna Suresh’s plea to quash this case on Monday.
