Swearing-in of new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor in chaos, chief minister’s absence – Pakistan

People’s Party leader Faisal Karim Kundi took oath as the 40th governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Governor House Peshawar where Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Ishtiaq Ibrahim administered the oath to him, the swearing-in ceremony looked chaotic.

During the swearing-in ceremony, leaders of the People’s Party, members of the National Assembly, senators and bureaucrats were present. Despite repeated announcements, the workers did not seem ready to leave the front of the stage.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also absent from the swearing-in ceremony, two chairs were placed on the stage during the ceremony, Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur did not attend the ceremony as he was in Islamabad.

After the swearing-in of Faisal Karim Kundi, the governor’s house echoed with the chanting of the people’s party supporters.

Faisal Karim Kundi said that Jayala came to KP Governor House after a long time, I will try to play the role of a bridge between KP and the Centre.

Governor KP said that we do not want a confrontation between the center and the province and we will go back by putting the reverse gear, we will bring peace by standing with the security forces and also end the financial crisis of the province.

Faisal Karim Kundi further said that we all will fight the case of the province peacefully. I invite the provincial government to come together and demand their rights from the center, I will be your lawyer and fight your case in Islamabad, I also invite the chief minister that we want to see the development of this country, not political opposition. .
