Sweden’s clothes when the Olympics in Paris are inaugurated

The 33rd Summer Games in Paris open on July 26 and end on August 11. For the third Games in a row, the Swedish Olympic team wears clothes from UNIQLO. In Paris, it is Scandinavian stripped-down design and high-tech production that apply.

During the opening and closing of the Olympics in Paris, the squad will have a seamless jacket knitted with 3D technology, exclusively designed for the Olympic squad. The technology is patented and is called Wholegarment where the entire garment is knitted from a single thread. We will also be able to see the same jacket on the participants who get to step on the podium during the games.

For five years, UNIQLO has worked closely with the Swedish delegations and been active in producing the troops’ clothes during both the Olympics and the Paralympics. Three watchwords have been in focus: quality, innovation and sustainability.
