The Swiss judiciary has acquitted former FIFA President Sepp Blatter and former UEFA President Michel Platini of corruption charges.

It is reported that the former French president of the European Football Association, Michel Platini, and the former president of the Swiss International Federation, Joseph Blatter, are on trial for fraud; Against the background of defrauding the International Federation of the Game, by obtaining an unjustified compensation of approximately 1.8 million euros.

The Swiss public prosecutor had requested a prison sentence of one year and eight months, suspended for Platini.
