(Keystone-ATS) To counter fan violence, the cantons want to introduce personalized tickets through a revision of the “Concordat on hooliganism”. The Conference of Directors of Cantonal Departments decided on Friday to launch the project.
For the Conference of Directors of Cantonal Justice and Police Departments (CCDJP), the personalized ticket constitutes an important additional instrument in the prosecution of offenders.
For the “non-voluntary” introduction of personalized tickets for sporting events, a revision of the “Concordat on hooliganism” is necessary. The CCDJP has given the mandate to develop a proposal in this direction.
But ultimately it is the authorities responsible for issuing authorizations who will decide on the actual introduction of personalized tickets, even on the basis of a revised concordat. The CCDJP is also always ready to discuss new proposals aimed at preventing violence, we read in the press release.
