Patrik Forejtek finished 29th in the downhill, trailing Swiss skier Mark Müller by 4.67 seconds. Unluckily, Czech duo Jan Koula and Aldo Tomášek were forced to withdraw from the combination event after Koula experienced a binding malfunction.Koula expressed his frustration, stating, “The anger is great. I am not aware that I would do something so badly to turn off my bindings.”

Kryštof Krýzl is competing in his final race at this congress. How do you think he will fare in the slalom?

Kryštof will have it hard, as he trains with German juniors, so he didn’t drive much in the slalom during the winter. Maybe he can do it in a “fake” form, but it will be a tough challenge for him.

Jan Koula unluckily had to withdraw from the combination event. How has the team reacted to this setback?

It’s incredibly frustrating,especially for Jan,who is feeling disappointed with the malfunction. We are standing behind him, though, and the team remains focused on our remaining goals here at the congress.

What are the Czech Ski Team’s main objectives at this congress?

We are here to compete our best, to push ourselves and achieve personal bests. While we are aware that other teams are extremely strong,we strive to leave our mark on the competition and make Czechoslovakia proud.

The Franim von Allmen Congress is known for more than just the races. What do you see as the most valuable aspects of this event?

The exchange of knowledge and experience is invaluable. It’s a great opportunity to learn from some of the best athletes and coaches in the world, which ultimately helps us grow as skiers and individuals.

What would you say to young aspiring skiers who look up to you?

Never stop believing in yourself, never give up on your dreams, no matter how hard things get. Hard work, dedication, and passion are the keys to success in alpine skiing, and life in general.
