Happy love after the season to forget: Swiss ski racer Priska Nufer got engaged to her long-time boyfriend while on vacation in Thailand.
Alpnach – The past World Cup season was anything but optimal for the Swiss ski racer Priska Nufer. The 31-year-old ended up in 45th place with 183 points. However, there was good news on her vacation, because Nufer got engaged to her boyfriend in Southeast Asia, as she shared on her Instagram appearance.

Priska Nufer: Swiss ski ace gets engaged on vacation in Thailand
In terms of sport, things are not really going well at Nufer, but privately they are. On vacation in Thailand, the ski pro got engaged to her boyfriend, with whom she has apparently been together for a long time. “We’ve been going through life together for 12 years. We have experienced so many beautiful moments together and also overcome difficult hurdles,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I look forward to all the wonderful things to come. Happiness shared is happiness doubled. Thanks for everything my fiancé,” added Nufer. She began her announcement on the social media platform by saying, “Travelled home from the holidays with a very special gift.” The ring emoji that the speed specialist inserted at this point left little room for interpretation.

Nufer immediately posted ten photos from the trip together with her partner, which, in addition to the happy couple, also show animals or impressions from Thailand. Several ski stars congratulated the couple on their engagement. For example, Nufer’s Slovenian colleague Ilka Struhec or ÖSV driver Tamara Tippler were among the well-wishers. Her Swiss compatriot Jasmina Suter and the Kenyan ski racer Sabrina Simader were also happy for Nufer’s private luck.
The former ÖSV great Ramona Siebenhofer, who only a few days ago confirmed the immediate end of her active career, wrote: “How nice, congratulations”. The newly engaged woman probably did not expect such a wave of congratulations from her competitors, at least she has not answered any of the numerous comments so far. (air)
