It was a mixed bag for Swiss players in the NHL on Friday, with some shining bright in victory while others endured defeats.

The Vancouver Canucks secured a thrilling 4-3 overtime win against the Buffalo Sabres, led by a strong performance from Pius Suter. Suter tallied his eighth goal of the season and added an assist.

The New Jersey Devils also celebrated a victory, defeating the Detroit Red Wings 5-4. Nico Hischier was named the game’s second star after contributing a goal – his 14th of the season – and an assist. Timo Meier continued his scoring streak with another goal, his eighth of the year. On the back end, Jonas Siegenthaler logged 20 minutes with a -2 rating.
