Switzerland did not win a medal in the Europeans of Antalya. Luca Giubellini’s 6th place on vault is the best Swiss result on the second day of the apparatus finals, while Noe Seifert signed another poor performance (8th).

Eighth on the floor on Saturday, the 5th in the all-around Noe Seifert did not manage to erase this disappointment during his 2nd final of the weekend on the parallel bars. Nervous, the Argovian accumulated inaccuracies to finish 8th.

Noe Seifert (13.366 points) was even overtaken by Zurich’s Eddy Yusof (7th). The latter delivered a very clean exercise, until his fall at the reception of his exit. Credited with 13.466 points, the frustration could be read on his face.

Eighth in the qualification, Luca Giubellini was credited with 14.200 points in the final (14.500 for his 1st jump, 13.900 for the second). The neophyte from Aargau (20 years old) had a start at the reception of his two jumps.

No regrets for the son of 1990 European parallel bars champion Daniel Giubellini, who missed the podium by 0.550 points. He was not aiming so high for his first participation in a major international event.
