SilverStone announces the SX750 Gold reference SST-SX0750MCGD-A. This power supply for PC opts for an SFX format and offers a power of 750 Watts.
It is equipped with a 100% modular management of its cables. Clearly it is possible to connect only the bare minimum so as not to clutter the box with a surplus of beams likely to disturb the air flow. This SX750 Gold is a lower performance version of the SX750 of origin launched in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The main difference concerns its 80 Plus label with Gold against Platinum. Its equipment includes a 24-pin ATX, three 4+4-pin EPS, four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, eight SATA and three Molex.
SX750 Gold, details
Under the hood, we have a +12V monorail mechanism capable of distributing 62.5A. Added to this are 100% Japanese capacitors, an active PFC (normal due to the 80 Plus) and several electrical protections. They relate to over/under voltage, overload, overheating and short circuits.
Cooling uses a 92mm hydrodynamic bearing fan. There is no fanless mode. It turbines at less than 30% of its maximum speed if the load rate is less than 300.
The press release does not indicate any prices.
