Syria rains goals against Myanmar

Saudi Arabia – The Syrian national team rained seven unanswered goals against Myanmar in the match that brought them together yesterday evening, Tuesday, in the fourth round of the second round of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.

Syrian striker Omar Kharbin opened the goal festival in the 30th minute, his fellow midfielder Ibrahim Fares Hisar doubled the lead in the 47th minute, and defender Moayed Al-Ajan added the third goal in the 51st minute.

Omar Kharbin returned and scored two consecutive goals, the fourth and fifth, in the 54th and 63rd minutes, to score a hat-trick.

Before Moayad Al-Ajan returned in the 69th minute and scored his second and sixth personal goal for his country.

Then, substitute striker Alaa El-Din Yassin Daly concluded the goal festival in the 80th minute.

The Myanmar national team completed the confrontation with ten players after its player Hein Phyo Win was sent off in the last minute of the first half of the match, which took place at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The Syrian national team raised its score to 7 points, and occupies second place in the standings of Group Two, reducing the difference to two points between it and the leader, the Japanese national team, which was supposed to be a guest of its North Korean counterpart, but the latter apologized for hosting the match.

1- Japan – 9 points

2- Syria – 7 points

3- North Korea – 3 points

4- Myanmar – one point.
