Sri Lanka defeated Oman by a significant margin in a recent match at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, securing their second win of the tournament, according to reports from the ICC website.
The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the tenth edition of the tournament, is being co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tournament began on February 7th and is scheduled to conclude on March 8th. Twenty teams are participating in a total of 55 matches, with games taking place across five venues in India and three in Sri Lanka.

Italy has qualified for the Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time.
India enters the tournament as the defending champions, having won the previous edition. The tournament format consists of a group stage, followed by a Super 8s stage, and culminating in knockout matches.
Earlier today, India faced Pakistan in a match that began at 5:30 AM local time. Sri Lanka is also scheduled to play Zimbabwe, with that match starting at 1:30 AM local time. The Indian cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka on February 13th in preparation for their matches in the tournament.
