HMD Global has announced a new addition to its product portfolio with the Nokia T21, a new tablet. The device is particularly robust thanks to the aluminum frame and the back made of partly recycled plastic, making it suitable for families or travel. The tablet is now available for sale – this is included in the device for 249 euros:
A 10.36 IPS panel is installed in the Nokia T21. That resolves with 2K (1200 x 2000 pixels in 5:3 format). An active stylus is supported. Either Wacom WGP or Active ES 2.0 can be used as a compatible input pen. For example, the Wacom Bamboo Ink Active can be used with the tablet.
Inside the tablet is a Unisoc T612 processor with two ARM Cortex-A75 cores. These have a clock rate of up to 1.8 GHz and are supported by six economical A55 cores. There is 4 GB of RAM available. 64 GB of storage space is available internally, which can be increased to 512 GB using a microSD card. There is also an LTE version to choose from, which also supports voice calls and SMS. It can therefore also be used as a phablet. There is even no lack of NFC for mobile payments. Android 12 is used in the delivery state.
There is a camera on the front and one on the back. Both times you rely on a sensor with 8 megapixels. The 8,200 mAh battery is charged with 18 watts via USB-C. The battery should be sufficient for up to 15 hours of surfing or 7 hours of telephony.
Miscellaneous? The device weighs 471 grams and is 7.5 millimeters “thick”. The T21 is intended to act as a second display for a Windows device. There is an IP-52 certification for protection against dust and dripping water.
The Nokia T21 is available now in Charocoal Gray for €249. The 4G version costs a fair 30 euros more, here it is 279 euros. Nokia has launched the subscription service Circularwhere you can rent the T21 for 15 euros per month.
