:Britain raised the alert Friday after an attack in front of a synagogue in Manchester, killing two people and wounding three, while police announced they had shot some victims while confronting the attacker.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who visited the site in northwestern England, saeid security measures will be reinforced in Jewish places of worship throughout the country.

Al-Shami was killed by police minutes after reports came in of him stacking a car by worshiper and for a security guard.
The attacker was wearing an explosive jacket which it was later found was not made to detonate.
Police arrested two men in their thirties and a woman in her sixties, on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist act.
The attack is the most severe in Europe since the October 7, 2023, hamas attack on Israel which led to the current war in Gaza.
