A fire broke out at a massage spa in northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Monday morning, prompting a response from Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR).
Firefighters were dispatched to the location at approximately 9:41 a.m. Following reports of a possible structure fire, according to AFR. Upon arrival, crews observed heavy smoke emanating from the roof of the building.
The fire was contained within roughly 15 minutes, and the damage was largely limited to the roof area. AFR confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
AFR officials have determined that an electrical malfunction was the cause of the fire. Further details regarding the specific nature of the malfunction have not been released.
