According to Qualcomm, the name Snapdragon X will help the public understand the chips as being specific to computers and disassociate the idea of similarity with processors made for smartphones and tablets. The company explains regarding its new launch saying:
The Snapdragon X series platforms build on our years of experience engineering heterogeneous computing architectures across central processing unit (CPU), graphics processing unit (GPU), and NPU. Now, leveraging our custom next-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, a quantum leap in performance and power efficiency will anchor Snapdragon X and – when combined with our NPU – deliver accelerated on-device user experiences for the new era of generative AI.
Late last year, the Oryon CPU was first revealed and at the time it was said that it would be “integrated into a broad portfolio of Snapdragon products, starting with PCs and later including smartphones, digital cockpits, advanced driver assistance systems, reality extended and infrastructure network solutions.”

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature to automatically silence calls from unknown numbers.
On Tuesday, Mark Zuckerberg announced the call mute feature along with a new privacy check option.
“You can now automatically mute incoming calls from unknown contacts on WhatsApp for even more privacy and control,” he said.
Why is it coming to this: This comes following several customers in India, the largest market for the chat app with more than 500 million users, have complained regarding a spike in spam calls over the internet. last months.
Users can enable this option by going to Settings > Privacy > Calls and selecting the “Mute unknown caller” option. WhatsApp said that while calls from unknown numbers will be automatically muted, they will show up in the app’s notifications and call list. This is in case you want to check later if it was from someone you know but don’t have their number saved in contacts.
When you receive a call from an unknown number, the phone will only show you the number together with the message “unknown number muted”.
Separately, WhatsApp has added a new privacy check feature that will appear in the Privacy section. The checkup will guide you through multiple steps to inform you regarding different privacy controls such as “Choose who can contact you”, “Control your personal information”, “Add more privacy to your chats”, and “Add more protection to your account”. Users can change settings like two-factor authentication, decide who can add them to groups, set a default timer for disappearing messages, and control who can see their profile picture through this process.
