Aspirin was more effective in women with more risk factors for ovarian cancer, such as obesity, a family history of ovarian and breast cancer, no childbirth, and taking oral contraceptives.
In women with two or more risk factors for ovarian cancer, aspirin reduced the risk of ovarian cancer by 81%. However, aspirin did not reduce the risk of ovarian cancer in women with endometriosis, a risk factor for ovarian cancer.
The results of this study were published in the latest issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology, a journal of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

This is the result of a comprehensive analysis of data from 41 clinical trials related to vitamin D-depression (set as a randomized control group) published in the world so far by a research team led by Professor Tuomas Mikola at the Institute of Clinical Medicine at Eastern University of Finland.
According to the research team, in all clinical trials, the group taking the vitamin D supplement had less depression than the control group not taking it. The doses of vitamin D supplements taken were significantly different, but those taking 50-100 μg (micrograms) were the most common.
Vitamin D is known to regulate the functions of the central nervous system. Disturbances in the central nervous system are associated with depression. However, the research team said that the results of this trial have low certainty of evidence due to the risk of population heterogeneity and bias among participants.
The results of this study were published in the latest issue of Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, an American journal of food and nutrition.

A healthy diet can help control and ease the complications of depression, under the supervision of a specialist, to avoid any complications or side effects with medications.
In a randomized trial in Australia, men and women between the ages of 17 and 35 experienced a reduction in depression symptoms, 3 weeks following they switched to a healthy diet.
And researchers reported in the journal (PLOS ONE) that those who continued eating healthy foods for 3 months, continued to feel better.

Francis and colleagues’ study included 76 people who scored high on two measures of depression and anxiety, indicating moderate or severe symptoms of depression, and who scored high on a questionnaire regarding consumption of foods high in fat and sugar.
The participants were divided into two groups for a period of 3 weeks, the first changed its diet, while the second group continued to eat what it was accustomed to.

Previous research has shown that a poor diet increases systemic inflammation and is a contributing factor to depression.” .
