TAYLOR Swift has spoken out for the first time after a terror plot led to the cancellation of three dates on her Eras Tour, explaining why she initially chose to remain silent.

In a lengthy Instagram post shared after the end of her European tour, Swift said playing the final few dates in London was a “rollercoaster of emotions” after her three shows in Vienna were canceled due to a foiled terror plot.

“The cancellation of our Vienna show was devastating. The reason for the cancellation has left me with a new level of fear, and an overwhelming sense of guilt because so many people had planned to come to the show,” she wrote in a post on Wednesday (8/21).

“However, I am also very grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we only lost a concert, not lives.”

The 34-year-old “Fortnight” singer said she was “touched by the love and unity” she saw among fans after the incident, as many fans in Vienna took to the streets to sing Swift’s songs together and exchange friendship bracelets, which has become a tradition at her concerts.

Swift wrote after Vienna that she and her team were working with British authorities to ensure that her five nights at London’s Wembley Stadium went smoothly.

Swift’s post comes two weeks after the concert was canceled, and the Grammy winner received criticism from some for not directly addressing the cancellation. But in her post, she explained why she had stayed silent.

“Let me be clear: I will not speak publicly about something if I think it could provoke those who want to hurt the fans who come to my shows,” he wrote.

“In cases like this, ‘silence’ actually shows self-control, and waiting to reveal oneself at the right time. My priority was to complete our European tour safely, and I am relieved to say that we have done so.”

Swift praised her London show as feeling like a “beautiful dream sequence,” and said that her performance brought back a sense of “carefree calm” on stage.

In a comment on her post, she thanked the many guests who joined her on stage during her London shows, including Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch and Jack Antonoff, and called it an “incredible honour” to be the first solo artist to perform eight times at Wembley in one tour.

“To the fans who saw us this summer, you will always have the most shining place in my memories,” he concluded.

“You were a dream to perform with, dance with and share those magical moments with. We will see you all again when we resume The Eras Tour in October, but for now we have to take a break. Thank you for the adventure of a lifetime. May it continue…”

On August 7, authorities announced two Austrian men had been arrested in connection with a planned attack on Swift’s show, which was scheduled to take place at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium on August 8-10.

Two days later, Austrian authorities announced a third arrest in connection with the foiled plot, an 18-year-old man believed to have ties to ISIS.

The arrests come just days after three young girls were killed in a stabbing at a Swift-themed yoga class in Southport, England.

The pop star then invited two survivors of the tragic event to meet her during the London stop of her Eras Tour.
