Glenn Maxwell Wellin Kovid, Australian all-rounder and captain of the Big Bash T20 League team Melbourne Star. Kovid confirmed Maxwell’s antigen test. Maxwell is the 13th player confirmed by Kovid in the Melbourne Stars.
Kovid had previously confirmed 12 players and 8 support staff at the Melbourne Stars. The Stars have played back-up players in the last two games against the Perth Scorchers and the Melbourne Renegades.
The Stars had failed miserably in both games. In the next match against the Adelaide Strikers, around 10 players are expected to complete the isolation and return.
Kovad’s expansion into the Big Bash League is intensifying. Kovid is the fifth team in the league to report cases. Earlier, Kovid reported that some teams had postponed training. At the same time, the tournament itself may be postponed if the Kovid cases increase further. A decision in this regard may be made soon.
