Disbandment of BLACKPINK Concert, Viewers Compare Access to GBK and JIS

First day of concert BLACKPINK at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan, Jakarta, went smoothly. Even though there was overcrowding at the dispersal, one of the spectators said access to the GBK Stadium was easier than the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
One of the BLACKPINK concert goers, named Ika, admitted that access at GBK and JIS was very different. He said that he had attended JIS concerts twice and always experienced difficulties in terms of access.
“Oh yeah (easier access to GBK), we have concert at JIS. Before (Dewa 19 concert), Dewa was my husband. Previously, we watched JISPHORIA, the one with iKON,” said Ika when met detikcom following the BLACKPINK concert on the first day, Saturday (11/3/2023).
Ika said access in and out of JIS was very difficult compared to GBK. He alluded to the appeal for spectators not to bring private vehicles, but public transportation there was minimal.
“Too bad, this is better (GBK), far away. It’s just too bad, private vehicles can’t be parked, there’s no parking, we’re advised not to bring a vehicle (to) park. Yesterday, Dewa ordered to park at Ji Expo, right, because there was a shuttle ( bus), uh, the shuttle is like that,” said Ika.
Ika compared that exit access at GBK might be passed from several doors, while JIS, he continued, only provided one main door. As a result, accumulation occurs because the number of visitors is not proportional to the exit.
“He (JIS) only has one door, then in front of it the TransJakarta bus stop is small. Ika then said that there was no hope for access to concerts at JIS. He said the difference was very much with GBK.
“There’s no hope anymore, really, we’ve been there twice. It’s really far away, it’s better for GBK,” said Ika.
Meanwhile, another viewer, Dila, said that access at GBK is still difficult because there are several ojols parked on the main road. He was still waiting for the pick-up car that was stuck in a traffic jam.
“Come here using a private vehicle. Still waiting because of traffic jams. Exit (concert) 21.15 WIB is out, starting at 19.30 WIB. Waiting for pick-up (now), it’s hard to get stuck because there are lots of motorcycle taxis too,” said Dila.
