## Archyde Exclusive: Helmut marko Talks Red Bull’s 2024 Ambition and the Verstappen Factor



**Archyde:** Herr Marko, Red Bull has dominated Formula 1 in recent years. Looking ahead too 2024, what are the team’s ambitions?



**Helmut Marko:** [Smiles] The goal is clear, isn’t it? We aim for a historic fifth consecutive Constructor’s Championship.It’s a tall order, but I truly believe it’s within reach. We have stability in the regulations, a fantastic driver in Max Verstappen, and a dedicated team.



**Archyde:** You mentioned the regulations.



**Helmut Marko:** Yes, the stability of the technical rules is a key advantage. It allows us to refine and develop the RB20 [1] further, building on the success of the [RB19](https://elevenmark.com/blogs/marks-magic/what-is-the-2024-red-bull-f1-car-marks-magic)





**Archyde:** We saw Sebastian Vettel win four titles in a row, but a fifth eluded him. Do you see similarities or differences in Verstappen’s situation?



**Helmut Marko:** Both Max and Sebastian are remarkable talents. However, the landscape was different during Sebastian’s era. Back then, engine regulations were constantly evolving. This year, and indeed for the next few years, we have stability.



**Archyde:** Max Verstappen seems unfazed by pressure.Do you see him repeating his championship dominance in 2024?



**Helmut Marko:** (Chuckles) Max is always the favorite in my book. He’s a driving force, a leader within the team. We have built the team around him, allowing him to perform at his best.



**Archyde:** Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton will certainly be trying to dethrone Red Bull. How do you view thier challenge?



**Helmut Marko:** Ferrari is a formidable opponent, but I expect internal struggles between Hamilton and Leclerc. McLaren will be captivating to watch too, with Piastri seeking to make a statement.It will be a interesting battle.



**Archyde:** Speaking of the future, Red Bull’s partnership with Ford for engine advancement begins in 2026. How confident are you about this new chapter?



**Helmut Marko:** We are very excited about the partnership with ford. Of course, there will be new learning curves, new challenges. But we have a record of adapting and overcoming. Our experience, combined with Ford’s expertise, gives us a strong foundation for the future.
