A Dublin resident is Ireland’s first National Lottery millionaire of 2026, after winning €1,005,000 in Friday night’s EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at Spar Drumcondra, located at 122 Drumcondra Road Upper, Dublin 9, according to a statement released Saturday by the National Lottery.
The win came as part of a promotional draw guaranteeing one of ten Irish winners an additional €1 million on top of the standard €5,000 raffle prize. Ten players initially won €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number, but one of those tickets – I-TGQ-37601 – was randomly selected for the additional seven-figure sum.
Niall Tobin, Store Manager of Spar Drumcondra, expressed delight at the win for the local community. “What a fantastic win for Dublin’s Northside! The team here at Spar Drumcondra are absolutely delighted to have sold the winning EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle ticket that has made the first National Lottery millionaire of 2026! We’re thrilled for Ireland’s newest millionaire and want to wish them every success in the future,” he said.
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery Spokesperson, described the win as “an incredible way to mark Valentine’s weekend.”
The National Lottery has not yet released details regarding the winner’s identity, and has urged all EuroMillions players to check their tickets.
