Consultant Pediatrician, Endocrinology and Diabetes at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Professor Abdul Moeen Eid Al-Agha, revealed that females and adult males share 4 names and ranks during the obesity stage. As for children and adolescents, there are no names in the Arabic language dictionaries for their different levels of obesity, and the BMI scale is the most acceptable method for defining and classifying obesity, as it is calculated by dividing the weight (in kilograms) by the square of the height in metres.

Beware.. 5 Early Signs of Liver Cirrhosis You Shouldn’t Ignore

Books – Syed Metwally
Cirrhosis is referred to as scarring or cirrhosis of the liver caused by various types of liver-related problems such as hepatitis and chronic alcoholism. The scar tissue gradually replaces healthy tissue in the liver, eventually making it less effective.
Here are 5 early signs of cirrhosis that you should not ignore, according to timesofindia.
The role of the kidneys
Our liver is responsible for performing many functions in a day to keep us healthy, remove toxins from the body, make enzymes that help us digest food, store sugar and nutrients, and help fight infection.
When the liver is injured for any reason, healthy liver cells become inflamed or die, followed by the cell repair process, which often causes tissue scarring. The buildup of scar tissue in the organ disrupts its functioning and leads to cirrhosis.
Although there is no cure for cirrhosis, early detection of the health problem can delay or stop scarring and reduce complications that, if left untreated, can become fatal.
Who is in danger?
Cirrhosis is a secondary health condition that is often caused by another problem or disease in the liver. If you don’t treat your liver condition, it will get worse and turn into cirrhosis over time. Here are some conditions that may put you at risk of developing cirrhosis.
Alcohol abuse for years
Hepatitis
uncontrolled diabetes
obesity
Injecting medicines with common needles
history of liver disease
unprotected sex
To reduce the growth of unhealthy cells, you should know the symptoms. This will help you take the right treatment at the right time. Cirrhosis does not show any sign until the liver damage has spread. Here are the signs and symptoms that you may experience:
Ease of bleeding or bruising
Our liver produces protein with the help of vitamin K which is necessary for blood clotting, besides this, the organ also helps in breaking down old or damaged blood cells, when the liver is injured it does not produce enough protein because you bruise easily.
yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
Jaundice is a condition in which the skin and sclera turn yellow. The skin takes on this color due to a high level of bilirubin, a yellow-orange pigment secreted by the liver. When the liver is bruised, it fails to regulate the amount of bile in the body, which leads to this health condition.
Swelling in your legs, feet, or ankles (oedema)
Swelling in the legs and arms also occurs due to decreased production of a protein called albumin. This protein prevents blood from leaking from the blood vessels into the surrounding tissues, when there are fewer protein fluids that begin to build up in the blood vessels.
Fluid buildup in the abdomen (ascites)
In chronic liver disease, fluid may accumulate in the abdomen, causing abdominal distension. This can make your abdomen appear tight and swollen. Due to abnormal liver function, fluid begins to fill the space between the lining of the abdomen and the organs.
Weight loss
Unexpected weight loss without diet and exercise can be cause for concern. It is often an early sign of cirrhosis and should not be overlooked. If you notice a decrease in your body weight, see your doctor.
