Al-Marsad Newspaper: The CEO of the National Center for Waste Management, Abdullah Al-Sibai, confirmed that there will be no fees for waste during the next two years.
Al-Sibai said during his appearance on the Saudi channel: “The comprehensive strategic plan aims to establish a business model, and it will be in waste management, and there may be compensation to be collected in some cases that require the collection of compensation.”
He continued: “The center was given a period of two years to achieve it, according to the tool that was issued by the system at the beginning of the Hijri year, and this means that we rely on the outputs of this scheme, and it will define a required financial model, to enable waste management.”
He added: “Today we are starting with quick gains, meaning that any investment today does not require additional financial spending from the state or any other source, and therefore there are materials that were used in the past, and now this benefit is maximized, such as plastic materials, cardboard, metals and others, all of which have value. Its products are sold and these investments are covered.”
The CEO concluded his statements: “So far, there are no financial resources, because we are in the stage of building a model, and according to the plan and the regulatory tool, there will be no fees for waste during the next two years.”

There are light to moderate snow or sleet in Hubei, southern Jiangsu and Anhui, Chongqing, Guizhou, northwestern and northeastern Yunnan, Hunan, northern Jiangxi, and northern Zhejiang.
