Now is the moment to aim at recreating the idea of global NATO. Years ago, when this idea was born, it was quickly pushed aside following Moscow and Beijing stated that it would be very destructive to global stability. And the Western countries agreed to this and refused every country that wanted to join but was not geographically in Europe or North America. But the situation has changed over the years. The Russian-Georgian war, the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of Ukraine, China is threatening to invade Taiwan, North Korea is calling for a military solution to many of the peninsula, and the Russians are threatening to invade Europe. The icing on the cake is Moscow and Beijing’s attempt to create a military alliance based on countries from as many as 5 continents. So far unsuccessful, but what will tomorrow bring? There is no point in limiting yourself anymore. It’s time to unite all our allies officially in one group.
