“The Life of Chuck,” rated R and running for 1 hour and 50 minutes, is based on Stephen King’s novella. The film tells the story of Charles “Chuck” Krantz (Tom Hiddleston), an accountant from Maine, whose life is presented in reverse chronological order. His death at 39 from a brain tumor mysteriously triggers a global apocalypse.

‘Materialists’: Love, Money, and Authenticity in the Modern World

Rated R and running for 116 minutes, “Materialists” stars Dakota Johnson as Lucy, a New York matchmaker whose relationships are complex by income and compromise.
