Jacob Elordi Leads in Critically Noted Queer Western,”On Swift Horses”
May 30,2025 – Jacob Elordi is garnering attention for his performance in “On Swift horses,” a new film released May 29th,exploring a queer love story set against the backdrop of 1950s America. The film, based on Shannon Pufahl’s novel, has begun to receive reviews highlighting it’s sensual and visually striking portrayal of a forbidden romance.
Elordi plays Julius, a Korean War veteran returning home and grappling with the trauma of war. He finds temporary refuge with his brother, Lee (Will poulter), and Lee’s fiancée, Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones), before ultimately forging his own path to Las Vegas. There, he becomes entangled in a passionate, yet socially unacceptable, relationship with Henry (Diego Calva).
While the narrative follows a trio initially planning a new life in California, the film diverges to explore individual journeys of self-discovery and rebellion.
