CANDIDATE for General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) DKI Jakarta, Andi Anzhar Cakra Wijaya, is offering major changes to Kadin as the parent organization of the business world in Indonesia.

“God willing (ready), because for almost five years now I have been assigned to the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry as deputy chairman for investment, more or less I can develop that experience when I become chairman of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” said Andi as quoted in Jakarta, Friday (2/8)

In his statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, Andi explained that the changes he meant were changes that were for the better for members of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry and would be beneficial for the community.

“The Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a big ship. I emphasize here that there must be changes in the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” he said.

Changing the way we innovate and provide solutions to members here.

“Therefore, we close our ranks. We unite our missions,” he said.

The Deputy General Chairperson of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI) Center also said that the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry will become the Special Region of Jakarta (DKJ), so its speciality is that Jakarta will become purely a business.

“What does that mean? It means that the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry has opportunities and of course there are challenges,” he said.

This certainly makes the position of the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a large home for Jakarta entrepreneurs to contribute to welcoming Jakarta into a global city.

“That is why effective communication between Kadin and all parties in Jakarta is needed,” said Andi.

Andi also said that the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry is required to create new innovations in business, such as digitalization to help cooperatives and MSMEs.

“In the future, cooperatives and MSMEs will certainly be one of the targets that we will help, how they can build a strong foundation,” he said.

The 14th Provincial Conference (Musprov) of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be held in a week, precisely on August 7-8, 2024. Two people have been officially declared as candidates for the general chairman of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, namely Andi Anzhar Cakra Wijaya and Diana Dewi.

Andi Anzhar is the deputy chairman of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry for investment for the 2019-2024 period. Meanwhile, Diana Dewi is the incumbent candidate. (Z-8)

THE CHAIRMAN of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of East Jakarta (Jaktim) Anta Ginting, received support from four other Kadin Chairmen for the Jakarta region, as a candidate for general chairman of the DKI Jakarta Kadin.

The Chairman of the West Jakarta (Jakbar) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Yan Wahyu Widodo, stated that with his experience as the Chairman of the East Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and administrator at ALB, Anta Ginting was considered worthy to become the General Chairman of the DKI Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).

“Anta Ginting has a great enthusiasm with concrete programs, more innovative and creative, can make MSMEs more modern, digital, so that MSME entrepreneurs are more helped to increase business development,” said Yan, quoted Monday (29/7).

Likewise, the Chairman of the Central Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Victor Aritonang, also assessed that Rasa Anta Ginting is worthy of becoming the next chairman of the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Victor, it is time for leadership cadre formation to change in the DKI Kadin.

“The current condition is that many young people are trusted by Mr. Jokowi as special staff. Mr. Erick Thohir also places many young people as directors in BUMN,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the North Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sungkono, shared his experience working with Anta Ginting.

Before becoming an administrator at the Jakarta City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anta Ginting was part of the Sungkono team at the North Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“I think it is fitting that Anta Ginting becomes the General Chair of the DKI Kadin. The synergy between the City Kadin and the Government must be even closer as part of Kadin becoming a government partner,” said Sungkono.

Of the same opinion, the Chairman of the South Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Affan Siregar, also considered Anta Ginting worthy of becoming the General Chairman of the DKI Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“Anta Ginting is worthy of becoming the next Chairman of the DKI Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” he said.

In a separate location, the Extraordinary Member of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry also stated that he was ready to voice his support for Anta Ginting to become the General Chairperson of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Currently, several ALBs throughout DKI Jakarta are ready to win Anta Ginting in the 14th DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Provincial Conference (Musprov), which will be held at the Tribrata Building, South Jakarta, on August 8, 2024. (Z-8)
