At only 22 years old, 25 million views on YouTube and another 10 million in Spotify, Taichu is emerging as one of the most disruptive artists on the Argentine urban scene.

Founding member of the well-known Rip Gang next to Dillom, Die Young and Saramalacaraamong others, Taise Lopez MirandaWhat is it really called? he took his first steps in music singing flamenco in bars with his mother. After going through social networks uploading covers, he released their first single in 2019, “Luxury.

Since then, he has released more than 15 songs and collaborations, until finally reaching the release of su disco debut, “RAWR”, which came out last week. `The truth that I already wanted and I love it because it is no longer mine, it belongs to the peopleso it makes me happy”, explained the artist in dialogue with Music Profile.

– What made you decide to release a record now, and what makes it different from what you have been doing?

– My desire to make a record was always there, but also I went crazy with that it has to be conceptual, or that I didn’t know how my first album had to be. and then i relaxed because I said “It’s my first album”, not the last, it will come. The process was really quite fast. I feel that my desire to make a record is also that, to be able to elaborate and show more, like in a single, although everything is fine I say… in all the songs I was left wanting something, I feel that on the CD I was able to expand much more.

The Hot Core as a concept.

One of the most attractive aspects of the disc is the Hot Coresomething that Taichu made it clear that it is not a musical genre, but that it contains much more: “It’s not a genre, or yes, I don’t know, maybe it can be, but in truth it’s more the visual and sound aesthetics that accompanies the album and the entire universe of Taichu”.

“If tomorrow I want to take out a bolero or a bachata, I’m going to do it and it’s going to be a bachata Hot Core. Per se the album is Hot Core but there are a lot of genres it touchesthere is electronics, reggaeton, there is a phrased type or rapper at a certain point and the Hot Core is more the concept”, explained the artist.

With more than 600 thousand monthly listeners in Spotify and millions of views on all digital platforms, Taichu assured that, although he is aware that numbers are important, she does not consider herself a numbers artist.

“I think that I am one more artist of the show, of the music content, of the visual content. I think that mine happens elsewhere and if a song did not reach a million in two seconds, in the show it is the one that is sung to me the most, so I feel like it too It is another type of consumption that happens with my music And it makes me super happy because I feel that it is from a much more genuine side, ”he reflected. Taichu.

– Have you ever been affected by hate?

– I’m not going to deny that sometimes I didn’t read a comment that said “uh, what a jerk”, but that is also something that is inside us. I always knew that, with any situation that could happen that doesn’t have to do with my music and is from my personal life, if I’m sure how things are and how everything happened, then whatever people talk about, no have an idea I am the one who knows, and I remain calm with that, I am not going to go crazy because of what someone who does not know me says.

The tribute to Moria Casan and the relationship with Lali.

The album, made up of 13 songs, has a tribute to Moria Casan with the song Babyspice, in which several phrases of the television diva are usedincluding the magazine headline THCof which Moria was a part, “When I smoke I feel like a geisha”. Something that the pop singer, Lali Espositohe also did, on his recent album “Forget it”, where he dedicated the song “Who are they?”, citing several phrases from La One.

When I found out that (Lali) had a song that was going to be by Moria, I wrote to her or saw her and I told her “Boluda, listen to me, me too” and he tells me “Goddess connected. We all do pop”, it’s something full of colleagues.

– How do you get along with Lali? Is there any chance of a feat between you guys?

– She’s an amazing person. With me she was always very mega and she likes my music, and I like hers and yes obviously, I think we will collaborate.

– Do you know Moria?

– I don’t know her, it’s a pity, but I don’t know her. I would love to meet her, I love her. She is one of my favorite TV characters., of the ones I’ve seen since I was little, iconic. Of course it’s a sharau to my country and pop culture, but it was also like… the truth is that this song came out because I was in a friend’s bathroom and I see that she has the magazine “When I smoke I feel like a geisha”, from THC de Moria and I say “I have to do a song with this yesterday”. And I had it on my mind for a long time, until one day I sat down and did it and I started looking for a bunch of notes from her. Apart from that, she also gives some cool messages. Sorry but Few people on television in that area give such cool messages. She and Lali are the best in that field. They give messages that are worthwhile to me and represent me.
