A fire broke out at a construction project on Lujinghe Street, Taiyuan, Taichung City at one o’clock in the middle of the night. The fire started on the 14th floor where the formwork was being built and ready to be grouted. Because the site was full of flammable plates, and there were no fire-fighting facilities yet, we had to rely on the only super-high 50-meter ladder truck in the China-Hong Kong team in Taichung City. The fire was rescued, but the fire did not spread, and it was declared under control at two o’clock in the middle of the night.
The construction project that has been built to the 13th floor, a fire broke out on the 14th floor on the top floor, and the fire and thick smoke can be seen from a distance.
The fire broke out in a building that was supposed to cover the 24th floor. The 13th floor has been completed. Part of the progress on the 14th floor is to build formwork and prepare for grouting. Therefore, there are a lot of formwork building materials, plus the floor area is large, and the wind is blowing. The entire floor was engulfed in flames.
Because it is an unfinished construction project, there are no fire-fighting facilities. The fire alarm on the 13th floor can only rely on the only ladder truck in Taichung City that can rescue the 50-meter-high China-Hong Kong Squad. The fire alarm was reported at one o’clock in the middle of the night. At one time, it was worried that the scaffold would collapse due to the high temperature, but luckily it did not happen. However, after the super-high ladder truck came into play, the fire was declared under control at two o’clock in the night.
The building project located at the intersection of Taiyuan Road and Jinghe Street in Beitun District, Taichung City was not under construction at night, and the left-behind personnel were notified of the fire alarm until they were notified. The cause of the fire will be further investigated by fire investigators.
