Cologne – A high-ranking Afghan Taliban official appeared in a Cologne mosque, triggering harsh criticism. “We strongly condemn the appearance of #Taliban representative Abdul Bari Omar in Cologne,” the German Foreign Ministry said on Platform X on Friday evening. The trip was not announced to the ministry and the man was not issued a visa before entering Germany.
