Taillon agrees to a 4-year, $68M deal with the Cubs (source)

The Cubs kept busy on the second day of the Winter Meetings, agreeing to a four-year, $68 million contract with the right-hander. Jameson Taillon, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The club has not confirmed the contract.

On Tuesday, Chicago too signed Cody Bellingerformer National League MVP, for one season.

Over the past two seasons with the Yankees, Taillon re-established himself as a major league starter following his second Tommy John surgery kept him sidelined for most of 2019 and 2020.

The Pirates traded Taillon to the Yankees in January 2021. With New York, Taillon was a combined 22-11 with a 4.08 ERA in 61 starts.
