Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare Li Lifen said, “If there is a chance, of course, we must fight for it. I must hope that the Secretary-General can hear the voice of our 23 million compatriots in Taiwan. At present, our itinerary is still full and smooth, and we are all in accordance with Our scheduled planning, in active efforts, to the last minute, we will hope that we will be able to come to the World Health Assembly this year.”
Taiwan has not received any invitation letter from the WHO until the 22nd, so the WHO Action Team can only watch the latest situation online on the first day of the WHA meeting.
The European Taiwan Medical Association stood with the action team. There were also people on the scene waving the national flag and supporting Taiwan with practical actions. If I can meet Tedros, I hope to express Taiwan’s demands for participation in person!
