Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Wu Zhao-hse said the country is ready to “fight hard” to defend sovereignty and democracy. His words are reported by Taiwan News.
According to Wu, China intends to expand into the Indo-Pacific region and “spread the authoritarian system.” The defeat of Taiwan could have dire consequences for the entire region, the minister said.
Wu pointed to the increased number of Chinese air force sorties in Taiwan’s air defense zone. He is sure that this is how Beijing takes the Republic of China into its sights.
