It is a historic “deal” in uncertain tie. In recent days, a lawsuit took place across the Atlantic between Microsoft and the FTC. The reason ? At the end of last year, the American competition watchdog objected to the nearly $70 billion takeover of Activision (Call of Duty, Candy Crush, World of Warcraft) and filed a complaint with a view to blocking this unprecedented operation in the entire history of the video game industry.
For now, nearly forty countries have given the green light to the operation; which includes those of the European Union, China or even Japan. But at the end of April, the British antitrust (CMA) vetoed this operation, darkening the prospects for a rapprochement between Microsoft and the American publisher.
