New broadcast slot for “Wild Disputed”, new studio for “Pro and Contra”, “Milborn” with a new concept, more current news & discussion on JOYN & in PULS 24 Primetime.

Vienna (OTS) – PULS 24 is starting the super election year 2024 with innovations in the main evening and talk formats. “Pro and Contra”, the weekly political talk show that has been running successfully since 2011, is getting a new coat of paint. The presenters Corinna Milborn and Gundula Geiginger welcome their high-profile guests to the new studio. In the future, “Pro and Contra” will continue to discuss the hottest topic of the week in a confrontational and in-depth manner. There will also be space for interviews with highlight guests or one-on-one discussions. The first broadcast of “Pro and Contra” will take place on JOYN and PULS 4 every Tuesday at 10:20 p.m.

The successful format “Wild Disputed” will run from January 15th every Monday to Thursday in a new time slot at 9:00 p.m. on JOYN and PULS 24. The innovative, informative and entertaining concept remains the same: presenter Werner Sejka discusses with three opinionated guests surprising combinations the three most exciting topics of the day.

“Milborn – The PULS 24 Political Talk” is being expanded into a highlight format with longer, more in-depth conversations with prominent guests and as a special format for the upcoming election campaigns. “Milborn” will increasingly leave the studio and will also partly take place abroad.

From January 15th, PULS 24 will also be launching a new daily format in prime time from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with “Heiß Umfehdet”. The program includes discussions, duels, reports and interviews with a focus on the country’s top topics.

Andreas Rossmeissl, editor-in-chief Talk and deputy. Editor-in-Chief PULS 24: “A lesson we have learned in journalism in recent years is: We have to prepare for the unexpected. We are experiencing a multiplication of breaking news situations and an enormous need for information among viewers. We also want to respond to the super election year of 2024 with even more current talks, discussions and interviews in the PULS 24 main evening.”

PULS 24 information director Corinna Milborn said: “We are starting the election year with a major journalism offensive. The coming election campaigns will be characterized by one-sided campaigns, half-truths and separate information bubbles. But without a common ground for discourse, democracy does not work. Our promise is: We provide research, we ask critical questions and we shed light on both sides. Even those who clearly support one side should get to know other perspectives with us in order to form an informed opinion for themselves. That’s why we’re expanding on the pros and cons, creating even more space for in-depth discussions in “Milborn”, and in the future we’ll be providing Heiß Umfehdet with a daily analysis of “both sides”, discussions and a detailed, critical interview every day. Personally, I’m looking forward to the discussions and interviews and even more space for more in-depth, well-researched conversations.”

The main evening on JOYN and PULS 24 every Monday to Thursday from January 15th:

9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Wildly controversial

Pros and cons from January 16th:
