According to Mark Gurman, Apple is in the process of deploying “Tap to Pay” in its American stores.
The Bloomberg journalist tells us in a tweet that this feature will be deployed in various Apple Stores from May 25, 2022. The deployment of this new feature will be gradual.
Some time ago, we saw a first demo in the Apple Park store in Cupertino. Here is the posted video:
“Tap to Pay” is currently only expected in the United States. This feature will allow small merchants to collect payments without having to go through external hardware.
