Tatiana Blatnik: The founder of Breathe Hellas becomes the Ambassador of the Dual Career Program of the EOE athletes committee 2024-04-10 04:39:33

Breathe Hellas, the non-profit initiative dedicated to mental health with an emphasis on Greece, deals with mental health awareness, resilience and the creation of innovative mental fitness programs.

Breathe will help upgrade services from the athlete committee to the athlete community.

The Dual Career Program, a project of the athletes’ committee with President Ms. Voula Kozomboli OLY and elite Olympians as members, aims to lay the foundations of

transition from a sports career to a professional one, with practical applications and respect for the uniqueness of each athlete.

So far, in the innovative program created by the work psychologist and project manager of the Dual Career programs of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Ms. Christine

Nikolopoulou, in collaboration with the award-winning work psychologist in Great Britain

Dr Stephen Benton, 190 athletes, members of the Pre-Olympic Team for the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games, have registered for participation

“Milano Cortina 2026”, from all Olympic sports.

The next step is to record the athlete’s needs in the transition period regarding his studies and/or professional rehabilitation, creating a safe framework for the development and fulfillment of these goals in cooperation with the labor market and educational institutions both internally as well as abroad.

Tatiana Blatnik said: “I am very proud to support this innovator

initiative of the athletes’ committee, which proves that athletes are role models not only for their physical achievements. They are also models of mental fortitude, creating groups, communities of people and supporting each other. This is its foundation

of our work at Breathe Hellas and we are ready to learn together and share best practices that we can all use.”
