Taxenbach: 56-year-old injured by steel cable during forestry work

A 56-year-old was injured during forestry work on Thursday and had to be transported away by helicopter.

A serious forestry accident occurred in Taxenbach on Thursday followingnoon. A 56-year-old local man and another worker were operating a wooden cable winch in alpine terrain. One of the steel cables used to move the felled trees hit the 56-year-old in the face. This caused the man to fall and fall several meters down a slope. The rescue helicopter took the injured man to the Schwarzenberg Clinic, the police reported in a broadcast.
