A taxi driver who ran away following hitting a passerby lying on the road in Incheon was found dead one day following escaping.
According to the Incheon Michuhol Police Station on the 26th, a resident found and reported the death of taxi driver A in his 60s on a farmland in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do around 9 am that day. Police believe that A made an extreme choice.
Earlier, Mr. A was pursued by the police on charges of striking and killing a woman in her 50s who was lying on a road on a four-lane road in Incheon around 1:34 am the previous day. Person A called 911 following the accident, but it is known that he fled without giving details of the accident.
The police plan to end the investigation as there is no right to prosecute as suspect A dies in a traffic accident.
