Taylor Hall’s Return and Steven Stamkos’ Injury: Updates and News

Taylor Hall expects to return to action against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night, which would defy initial predictions regarding his shoulder injury.

The Chicago Blackhawks forward missed the last game against the Montreal Canadiens due to an upper body injury.

In practice Sunday, Hall was back on a line completed by Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato.

“I wouldn’t say I feel 110%, but I feel good enough to play. I will play much better than two days ago,” Hall said after his team’s skating session.

However, Hawks head coach Luke Richardson revealed that Hall could miss a few weeks of activities earlier in the week.

Hall was injured last Monday early in the 2nd period, but was able to return to the game before leaving again.

The forward joined the Hawks, his sixth team in 14 seasons, via a trade with the Boston Bruins on June 26.

Chicago has won just one of its first three games of the season where Connor Bedard has been the center of attention. The rookie has 3 points after so many games in the NHL.

Stamkos absent against the Senators

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos has a lower body injury and his condition is being assessed daily. The Lightning announced early in the evening that they would miss the game against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday.

The Lightning did not release any details on the nature of Stamkos’ injury.

Stamkos is off to a good start to the season with two goals and two assists in two games. He notably collected three points in his last outing, against the Red Wings, Saturday evening.
