TC Teaches: how to uninstall Secure Folder from your Samsung Galaxy

2024-02-02 07:33:00

The Secure Folder feature allows the user of a Galaxy smartphone to store sensitive applications and information in a more digitally secure location, protected by a password even when the device is unlocked.

But despite the resource’s good proposal, not all Samsung smartphone users want to have this “safe” on their devices.

Therefore, following our table of tips and tutorials, below you can see how to uninstall Secure Folder from your Samsung Galaxy!

If Secure Folder appears as a simple app in my drawer, I can just delete it, right? Fortunately no!

Because it is so deeply embedded in the system, and even so as not to compromise the resource’s security proposal, Secure Folder cannot be removed like any other application (by holding on its icon and selecting uninstall).

If this were possible, all information stored in this encapsulation might be easily accessed or deleted by simply removing the app. Something that anyone who chose to use the resource probably wouldn’t want.

To remove the function from your device, it takes a few extra steps, but nothing too complicated! Check out the instructions below:

  • With your device unlocked, access system settings;
  • Now, swipe down the screen and tap “Security and privacy”;
  • On the new screen, tap “Safe Paste” and, if prompted, enter your folder password.
    • If you do not find this option directly on the “Security and privacyand”, tap “More privacy settings” and access the option “Safe Pasta”.

You’ve learned how to uninstall Secure Folder from your Galaxy!

If you have given up on the process, need or want to give the resource another chance in the future and want to better understand how it works, check out our other tutorials on the subject:
