Team Canada beat the Czech Republic in overtime and won the gold of the MFM-2023
In Halifax, Canada, at the Scotiabank Center stadium, the match of the final of the 2023 Youth World Championship ended. The Czech team met with the Canadian team. The Canadians won 3-2 in overtime.
Already in the 13th minute of the match, the nominal guests took the lead after an accurate shot by Dylan Gunther. Brandt Clark and Brennan Othman had one assist each. Shane Wright doubled the lead in the 25th minute of the game. He was assisted by Gunther and Othman.
In the 53rd minute, Jiri Kulikh won back one goal for his team after passes from Eduard Chalet and Matias Shapovaliv. And in the 54th minute, Jakub Kros turned the game into overtime. The pass was given to him by Tomas Gamara.

The 2023 Youth World Championship was held from December 26 to January 5. The last winner of the tournament was also the national team of Canada, which in the final match of last year’s tournament defeated the Finnish team.
