The teams for the Women’s T20 Challenge to be held this month have been announced. Three teams will take part in the tournament. Supernova, Trailblazers and Velocity will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandana and Deepti Sharma respectively. The Women’s T20 Challenge will be held from May 23 to May 28 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
The 16-man squad includes 12 international players, including Indian players. Some of the top players from South Africa, England, West Indies and Australia will play in the tournament. Kerala spinner Keerthi James Deepti Sharma has been named in the Velocity. The star’s performance in the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy helped her.
Meanwhile, pacer Shikha Pandey, who excelled in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, did not get a chance.
