The Teams telephony service has received improvements for Microsoft Teams public preview attendees on PC and Mac, allowing users to customize calling options for reps and delegates on Teams calls. With it, a user can define administrators of their accounts and choose which functions they will have access to.
The company highlighted some important characteristics of the delegation:
– Easily switch between different phone lines.
– Participate in active calls together with delegates.
– Control permissions to resume calls and participate in active calls.
– View the history of calls made or received by delegators and delegates.
To configure delegation users need to: go to Menu > Settings > General > Delegation > Manage Delegates.
On the Your Delegates tab, the user selects an existing delegate or adds a new one. Then you need to check the Join Active Calls checkbox and select the Add button.
Those interested in enabling the function need to register for the Microsoft Public Teams Preview, accessing the profile menu using the three points on the left.
